With over 17 years of experience in the wine and hospitality industry, Andrew Lam was appointed the sommelier at five-star Langham Hotel last year, overseeing the wine and beverage program of the hotel’s six award-winning restaurants and bar, including the three Michelin-Starred Cantonese restaurant T’ang Court. Having just earned his Advanced Sake Sommelier Certification in Japan earlier this year, the wine professional aspires to acquire his Advanced Sommelier Certificate by the Court of Master Sommeliers.

In addition to being a recognized sommelier by the World Sommelier Association, Lin also owns SSA Sake Sommelier Association Advanced Sake Sommelier, SSI International Sake Sommelier, Master of Sake Sake Master, Scotch Whiskey Ambassador, French Bordeaux Wine Commander and other titles, he has also served as a lecturer in some wine courses and judges in wine competitions in the past.

Yohann Jousselin Master Sommelier, joined Shangri-La group in 2014, currently overseeing a Regional role for South Asia properties of the group.

Yohann’s accolades includes "Best Sommelier of the UK 2011", "Best International Junior Sommelier 2009" from La Chaine des Rotisseurs, named "Best Hong Kong Sommelier" by World of Fine Wine in 2015 & by Tatlers in 2014.

Yohann finalised his Master Sommelier exam in 2009 at the early aged of 25 years old becoming one of the youngest ever sommelier to achieve this prestigious recognition.

His precise work through his career path on wine menu has received many awards to name a few "Winner of UK wine list of the Year 2012, Imbibe", "Winner of Asia wine list of the Year 2014, World of Wine", "Winner of Asia wine list of the Year 2015, China Wine List of the Year" and most recently "Asia Champagne wine list of the Year 2018".

In recent years, Yohann has been focusing on developing new talents with some of his protégées becoming Master Sommeliers and others winning Sommelier contests. Part of the training platform’s that Yohann works on are both the Court of Master Sommelier and the WSET as a trainer

Eddie McDougall is the founder of The Flying Winemaker. He’s an award-winning winemaker, wine judge, commentator, and TV personality.

Eddie holds a Bachelor of International Business from Griffith University, Australia and a

Post Graduate Diploma of Wine Technology and Viticulture from the University of

Melbourne. In 2013, Eddie was one of only 12 elite wine professionals selected for the Len

Evans Tutorial, regarded as the world’s most esteemed wine judging program.

Eddie started making wine in 2003 and has worked with some of the most influential wineries in the New and Old World including the likes of Vietti, Mas de Daumas Gassac, Giant Steps, Deep Woods Estate and Silver Heights.

Today, Eddie is the group’s CEO and Chief Winemaker whose goal is to ensure the wines produced are of a high calibre and are available in several markets across the globe.

Cyrus is currently the chief sommelier of the Kowloon Shangri-La Hotel. He has working experience in many five-star hotels and Michelin restaurants in Hong Kong, including Petrus, Shang Palace, Angelini, Bostonian, Island Shangri-La Hotel and Langham Hotel.

In addition, he has a number of international sommelier qualifications, including the Court of Master Sommeliers(Court of Master Sommeliers) Certified Sommelier and WSET Level 3.

Cyrus hosted a series of excellent wine dinners at the Kowloon Shangri-La Hotel, making the hotel one of the most high-quality wine venues in the city. Cyrus also manages all wine affairs in the hotel and wine training for hotel staff.

His tenure as a sommelier won him many wine appreciation awards and many wine pairing menu awards for the hotel's restaurants and bars.

Over the years of working experience in the catering industry, Cyrus has laid a solid foundation and broadened his knowledge of various wines. It has also laid his determination to develop this trip and create a complementary wine and food experience.

Ms. Lai is the first Certified Wine Educator from theSociety of Wine Educators ® in greater China. Ms. Lai also holds the Diploma inWines and Spirits issued by the Wine & Spirit Education Trust (WSET®) and aWSET® Certified Educator. Other qualifications include “Wines of Portugal”Certified Wine Educator and Certified Port Educator.

Sheis not only one of the Founders of Hong Kong Wine Academy but also aninternational wine judge in the International Wine Challenge (IWC), Hong KongInternaitonal Wine & Spirit Challenge (HKIWSC) and Decanter Asia WineAwards (DAWA). Ms. Lai is a wine journalist with her own column in WinenowMagazine. She is now pursuing her goal as Masters of Wine.

He served the highly acclaimed Singapore Airlines as a Sommelier and Trainer for 11 years before clipping his wings. His long aspiration to become Master of Wine has led him down the path of achieving the elusive WSET Level 4 Diploma. His repertoire also extends to being a Master Sake Sommelier / International Kikisake-shi and Certified Whisky Ambassador.

His past professional experience spans across serving as Head of Wine for Southeast Asia under the SARMENT Group and currently he sits as the Head of Education for the BEVERAGE CLIQUE.

Leo practices law in Hong Kong, his clients include listed companies in Hong Kong and Singapore. He holds WSET Diploma and he also received training in wine assessment in Australia Wine Research Institute.

 He has been an active member of trade associations in wine & sprit/ F&B sector since 2013.He speaks in trade exhibitions regularly on wine judging and thematic topics and he is in charge of several wine events, in particular,“RBHK Hong Kong House Wine Awards", the longest established wine award in Hong Kong. 

Besides trade shows, he gave lectures in the Open University of Hong Kong and gives talks for professional bodies and charity associations occasionally.

Calvin Choi is the current the chairman of the Hong Kong Wine Judges Association.

He holds number of international certifications, including certified sommelier from the World Master Sommelier Association, SSA Certified Japanese Sake Sommelier, WSET Level 3certification, and Master of Hotel and Tourism Management at Chichester University, UK. He is now studying for his Doctor of Education, at the Universidad Catolica San Antonio De Murcia, Spain.

He has conducted many wine courses in various higher institutions in Hong Kong, including the Hong Kong Baptist University and the Vocational Training Institute.

Over the years, he has served as a judge for many sommelier and wine judging competitions at the international level. He has studied and shown interest in unconventional wine producing areas and vintage wine projects, such as the Marawi grape variety in Israel.

He now serves as the head sommelier at Amelia Hong Kong and is currently studying WSET Sake Level 3.

Julien Santini has been working in wine business in China for over 12 years. He is WSET Level 4 Diploma holder, and Certified Sommelier at Court of Master Sommeliers.

He is specialized at audit and consulting in wine marketing, branding, and events management for wine producers.

His international professional experience spans across working in Europe and Asia for MNEs, estates, and importers.  He also has various activities related to wineries’ promotion include oenotourism management, private and corporate wine tasting events, an, wine lectures and trainings.

Shawn Jia is a rising star in the Chinese wine scene. He works as a wine consultant based in China. His clients include importers, distributors and wealthy individuals in China. He also runs a wine social media channel with over 40k followers to promote wine culture.

In 2019, he won 1st place at the RVF China Wine Blind Tasting Championship and represented China to win 2nd place in the RVF World Blind Tasting Championship in France. He is a Certified Sommelier at the Court of the Master Sommeliers. He has an MBA degree from the University of Hong Kong and is finishing his studies for DipWSET.

Over the years, through countless seminars and online videos, he has initiated tens of thousands of young people to the world of wine. His ambition is to play a greater role in shaping the wine industry in China.
